Believe me, this gap is no good for anyone. Least of all those with an interest in blogging about Arsenal, with insatiable needs for interesting material. People have rightly been upset about the perfomance on Sunday, but to my mind too much of the blame has been laid at the malcoordinated feet of Emmanuel Eboue. It is not his fault that he knows What Arsene Did Last Summer, and if you or I were in his position I’ve no doubt we would be similarly behaved, testing the limits of what the boss will up with. I just can’t wait until we have a fully fit midfield and we can play whoever we want…we could even play five across the middle…
Walcott Arshavin Fabregas Rosicky Nasri
Looks pretty good to me… You’ve got to think that lot would make some chances…
Of course that depends on a world without Arsene getting up to mischief in the off-season whilst Eboue’s watching, which as we all know doesn’t exist. So I fully expect to see the little moron sat snugly in our team until the return of the proverbial bovines.
What do you reckon?
Anyway in other news, er, there isn’t much news. We’re all waiting for the Cardiff match, which is literally days away. To keep busy, let’s all laugh at Chelsea and their instant-results approach to football, a game which takes entire seasons for success or failure to become apparent. It’s a matter of time before Abramovich is outtahere, mark my words…
Also continue to laugh at Tottenham Hotspur.
And finally continue to enter our stonker of a Philosophy Football competition.
And add your name to the mailing list below. Phew.

When all our players are fully fit our squad will scare the living sh*t out of other teams. The pace alone is scary: Walcott, Arshavin, Adebayor, Eduardo add to that the guille of RVP, Fabregas and Rosicky and we are pretty formidable attacking side, i think we’ll be right up there with Barcelona. The problem is the premiership is sh*t these days, it’s turning into the italian ‘Seria A’ of about 10 years ago everyone wants to play 4-5-1. All the top clubs are struggling, even Man Unt can only score a goal a game. Villa will likewise struggle soon because they will be treated as a major club and won’t be able to play that counter attacking football they like. I hope so anyway.

Oh!, how I love the looks of that mid field Walcott, Asharvin, Fabregas,Rosicky and Nasri…..Van Persie and Eduardo up front…
Clichy and Sagna at the back the only question remains CMF…dare I use the word? With the likes of Vela, Wilshere and Ramsey warming the bench Wow!…did I miss anyone?

Don’t forget Toure. He has been putting in some solid performances since he was made captain. Yes I will agree with the squad you put up but would also like to play Eduardo and Van P upfront and letting Walcott/Adebayor/Bendtner come on as sub at some point.
GK(Green)
Sagna Toure Gallas/Djourou Clichy
Rosicky/Walcott Fabregas Arshavin Nasri
RVP
Eduardo/Adebayor

i’m all for that midfield. but only if we have a supernaturally good defence as we’re going to have real problems with things like tackling.
possibly mike’s selection could turn into something like the liverpool system with 2 second strikers (in our case arshavin and walcott), one bloke up top, one very defensive midfielder and 2 all rounders. somehow liverpool make this system look very boring, but i’m sure our version would be exciting as hell (especially as we’d concede loads of goals and so would have to score more). i might be tempted to have denilson as the sitting midfielder, though i know many folk will disagree with that.

grabs is a much more sensible team
We still need a holding midfielder, and Song and Denilson both have shown promise in that position.
The team mentioned in the article is to attack based.
